The Dranoff International Piano Foundation will present a free concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 2, at the Arsht Center called “PIANO SLAM: Urban Classical Concert with the Voices of Miami’s Youth.”
Piano duo Elizabeth and Marcel Bergmann will perform a classical/hiphop mash-up featuring Mozart, Messiaen and Bach with the beats of DJ Brimstone 127 and the debut works of Miami’s hot young poets. Theater producer and playwright Teo Castellanos is directing the production.
While the performance is free, first-access passes are required to guarantee seating. You can get those passes here.
