miami-music-project-winter-concert-series

Holiday music will take over at Overtown's historic St. Agnes Episcopal Church on Sunday, Dec. 15, at 4 p.m. during the annual Overtown Holiday Spectacular.

It will be an afternoon filled with musical performances and followed by a reception, presented by the Community Arts Program after-school Conservatory for the Arts. Performers will include the Young Musicians' String Consorts, the Jazz Prep Band, Chamber Ensemble and the All-Star Jazz Ensemble.

The groups will perform a program of classical, jazz and pop-style tunes as well as their own arrangements of holiday movie music classics. They'll close out the show with a fully orchestrated grand sing-along.

A reception follows the performance. The event is free thanks to the generosity of several sponsors.

The church is located at 1750 NW 3 Ave., Miami, FL 33136. Call 305-448-7421, ext. 120 for more info.
