Lovers of European cinema and short films will want to attend the European Short Film Day events being presented in Key Biscayne and Miami Beach.
- The first one is on Friday, May 16, at 6:30 p.m. at the Key Biscayne Community Center, 10 Village Green Way.
- The second is on Sunday, May 18, at 3 p.m. at Miami Beach Cinematheque, 1130 Washington Ave.
Wine and cheese will be served at the Key Biscayne screening and entrance to both is free.
A total of nine short European films, selected by Hialeah High School students and ranging from five minutes to 16 minutes, will be screened. The shorts are from Slovenia, France, Germany and Spain. They feature such varying subjects as a handicapped girl who falls in love, a photographer who discovers his wife is involved in a murder, a model who discovers everything at a photo shoot is edible and a boy who becomes a pianist in his dreams.
