Science fiction aficionados will want to catch the free science fiction film at the Wolfsonian-FIU, 1001 Washington Ave., Miami Beach on Friday, July 18, from 7-9 p.m.
The movie will be Things to Come, a 1936 film based on the screenplay by science fiction master H.G. Wells. The film imagines a world plagued by war and anarchy that is then followed by a rational utopia and space travel. It is presented in conjunction with the exhibiton “I Have Seen the Future: Norman Bel Geddes Designs America.”
The evening features free guided tours of the Norman Bel Geddes exhibition as well as “Wonders Never Cease: The 100th Anniversary of the Panama Canal” and “Bummer.”
