Science fiction aficionados will want to catch the free science fiction film at the Wolfsonian-FIU, 1001 Washington Ave., Miami Beach on Friday, Sept. 12, from 7-9 p.m.
The movie will be Brazil, written and directed by Terry Gilliam, a 1985 film set in a capitalist dystopia with an over-reliance on mediocre technology. (Sound familiar?) The film is presented in conjunction with the exhibition I Have Seen the Future: Norman Bel Geddes Designs America.
The evening features free guided tours of the Norman Bel Geddes exhibition as well as other exhibitions.
Admission to the Wolfsonian-FIU is always free on Friday nights. Call 305-531-1001 for more info.
