Music lovers of guitar-heavy blues tunes should head over to the “Blues Music Marathon” during the 16th Annual Coral Gables Bluesfest happening daily Thursday, Jan. 16, through Saturday, Jan. 26 on the Bierhaus Plaza in front of Fritz & Franz Bierhaus, 60 Merrick Way, Coral Gables.
The line-up of live blues performers is impressive and features Biscuit Miller & The Mix, Joel Da Silva & Midnight Howl, Iko Iko, The Allnighters, The 18 Wheelers, Sheba the Mississippi Queen and The Soul Kings, and Deck 52.
On Thursday, Jan. 23, at 5:30 p.m. The Culinary Rocker Ciao performs with Chris Vincent from Bungled and Botched while preparing his Willie Nelson Texas Stew on stage.
Entrance to the event is free and Fritz & Franz will offer beer and food specials during the festival. Hours are 6-11 p.m. Monday-Friday, noon to 11 p.m. Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday. Call 305-774-1883.
