The Miami-Dade Public Library offers library card holders a chance to visit local museums and attractions for free.
When available, the passes are good for a family of four to get into the Deering Estate at Cutler, Fruit & Spice Park, HistoryMiami, Miami Art Museum, Miami Children’s Museum, Miami Science Museum, and Vizcaya Museum and Gardens.

Sweat Records and Emerge Miami hold a free board game night the third Tuesday of every other month.
Games include Trivial Pursuit, Monopoly, Boggle, and more. The event is 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Publix offers a variety of prescription medications free, including antibiolotics, lisinopril (for high blood pressure) and metformin (for diabetes). Miami-Dade County and the National Association of Counties offer a free discount card which they say offers savings averaging 24 percent of the retail price of prescription drugs. It can be used by those without prescription drug insurance, for drugs not covered by your insurance and on some pet medications. On Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. there’s a farmers market at the NET Office at Northeast 64th Street and Biscayne Boulevard. In addition to produce, vendors offer local honey, orchids and bromeliads, breads and crackers, fresh juices and more. EBT cards are accepted, with EBT funds doubled up to $10 per user.
