Every Friday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., the Wolfsonian museum offers free admission and free tours of its permanent collections or temporary exhibitions. Free music is usually a part of this event, too, and the cafe has 2-1 beer, wine and sangria from 6 to 8 p.m.

Miami Science Museum is offering Tripod +, a series of 10 free, monthly hands-on science workshops for Spanish-speaking families. The programs, available to up to 30 people per session, are open to families with children in grades three through six. Pre-registration is required.

All programs take place from 1-3 p.m. and lunch will be provided.

The Meow Mobile comes to Miami Beach twice a month to spay and neuter community cats for free alternating at North Shore Open Space Park and South Pointe Park. Project Cat Snip Miami Beach’s upcoming dates are March 16, April 6 and April 20.

One Saturday a month, from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. Miami Children’s Museum will turn into an environment designed specifically for children with special needs and their families.

On Saturday, March 9, Miami Children’s Museum closes to the public to avoid large crowds, while providing modified lighting, sound adjustments and “cool down” rooms available for children to relax in.

The first Little Haiti Sunday Stroll noon to 6 p.m. the first Sunday every other month, and is a cooperative between many of the local businesses located between 54th Street and 62nd Street, and from NE 4th Ave to NE 2nd Ave.

Double the size of the “Wynwood Art Walk,” this event is a daytime, family-friendly event.

The art pieces will capped at selling price at $250 per item. Resident Artists may have more expensive work in their studios.

The Bass Museum of Art will host an art class on “Hand and Feet Study” on Saturday, March 2 and Sunday, March 3, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. The class is geared to children 7 years and up. Free with museum admission (students $6, adults $8).

Students will enhance their art skills through specialized instruction and museum exploration. Working with an art teacher and various media, each student will have an opportunity to develop, enhance and perfect their technical art skills and portfolios.

Space is limited, call in advance to register. No charge for instruction or materials. (Priority given to scholarship students or students who have received certificates).

All themes are subject to variation and change. Lessons are the same on both Saturday and Sunday, students should choose one weekend day.

Miami-Dade County residents can replace older-model toilets with High-Efficiency models.

Single-family residential property owners or tenants, as well as multi-family property owners, may receive a $50 rebate with the purchase and installation of a WaterSense-certified High-Efficiency toilet.

The residential property must have been built prior to 1996. To quality for the rebate, you must submit the appropriate application form, the original purchase receipt and packaging information from the manufacturer showing that the toilet is WaterSense-certified. Sensory Saturday is this weekend from 9 a.m.-11 a.m.. Each month, the Miami Children’s Museum hosts an inclusive accessibility event, open to all children with disabilities, as well as their family and friends. Admission for this special event on Saturday, December 15 will be at a reduced rate of $6, but pre-registration is required.

Children will be able to explore and enjoy the museum in an accessible and supportive environment, with modified lighting, sound, and “cool down” rooms for relaxation. They also have special programming, including yoga, art, music therapy, and more.
